Student are reminded time and again to avoid plagiarism but copyright and fair use are often left out of the classroom. This section contains links to resources to help students understand fair use and prepare them for navigating the world of copyright when they leave school. The Copyright Clearance Center addresses copyright questions about using copyright material for academic purposes.
Stanford University Libraries has information on using copyrighted information for academic use here. Cornell University Law School offers a wealth of copyright resources through their Legal Information Institute. These are just a few of the sites offering information on academic use of copyrighted materials. Check your school or university library website for more information. Your librarian is another good place to turn with copyright and fair use questions. |
